Housing density
Bradford City Centre Design Guide, Supplementary Planning Document, published in 2006, defines density as: ‘A measure of the amount of housing in a particular area (acre or a hectare). The simplest measure of density is the number of residential units per hectare which ranges for 30u/ha in a suburban area to 200u/ha or more in a city centre. Density can also be measured using habitable rooms or bed spaces which takes account of the type of units.’
